Previously, we were inspired by AI, among other things, on how art and raspberries can be combined:
Raspberry Paradise!
What is a Raspberry Paradise, you might ask? Well, it's an installation of hundreds of raspberry plants planted in the university garden. The goal is to harvest fresh and delicious raspberries throughout as much of the year as possible and share them with the public.
But why raspberries, you might ask? Well, the students chose this fruit because they see it as a symbol of beauty, sweetness, and joy. They want to convey a positive message with their project and encourage people to appreciate and enjoy nature. Besides, raspberries are simply delicious, aren't they?
I was lucky enough to visit the Raspberry Paradise in person, and I have to say I was very impressed. The plants look healthy and lush, and the fruit is juicy and aromatic. The students were very friendly and explained everything I wanted to know. They even offered me some raspberries to try. I can tell you, they tasted heavenly!
I think the Raspberry Paradise is a fantastic work of art, both aesthetically pleasing and practical. It shows that a university can also be a paradise if you are knowledgeable, creative, and passionate. I congratulate the students on their work and wish them much success with their project. I hope they can make many more people happy with their raspberries.
If you would like to visit the Raspberry Paradise, you can find out when it's open on the university website. I highly recommend it. It's an experience you won't forget.
The Raspberry Paradise prototype, created by the students and faculty, is located at LebensGut Pommritz, i.e., here.
The next one is currently being planned for Trixi Park Großschönau. If you know of other suitable locations – it could be amusement parks, garden centers, or abandoned villages – please contact us.
Perhaps we'll meet at the Raspberry Paradise!
We have raspberry varieties in many colors: light and wine red, but also yellow, white, purple, and black. You can harvest them directly from the field from June to November. This is the healthiest way, as they contain far more living biophotons when harvested and eaten directly than when they have been stored and transported for days. They are even real "power berries."

The Raspberry – Fruit of Love and Spiritual Transformation
Beyond their biological properties, plants and fruits are always also natural beings that uniquely embody qualities of the whole or "divine."
The name of the raspberry – Old High German Hintperi – is derived from "Hind," meaning hind (Hindin). Accordingly, it means "berry of the hind." Hinds are said to prefer eating raspberry leaves. This also places the raspberry in the orbit of hind symbolism, which can be defined as the "connection of the soul to divinity" and carries strong otherworldly symbolism.
According to the Roman writer Pliny (23 AD), the botanical name "Rubus idaeus" is said to derive from Rubus = red and Mount "Ida."
Ida was also the daughter of the Cretan king Melissus. She found Jupiter, the then-young father of the gods, screaming in the mountains and wanted to calm the crying child. She picked him a raspberry. As she leaned over the raspberry bush, her breast caught on a thorn. Her blood dripped onto the then-white berries, staining them forever red.
Ida appears as an aspect of the so-called Red Goddess (the nourishing and fertile aspect of the goddess).
This aspect is also reflected in customs: Eating the berries ignites feelings of love, and women expecting a child can carry raspberry leaves with them for pain relief during pregnancy and childbirth. Branches from the raspberry bush are part of the "nine kinds of wood" used in love oracles, which are cut on St. Andrew's Eve (November 30th) and placed in a vase. If it blooms by Christmas, the union with one's lover will be established.
The dried leaves of the plant were used for incense burning to cleanse the house and yard of evil spells. The smoke is also said to magically attract good luck and protect lovers.
Raspberry flower essence helps dissolve inner resistance, allowing you to participate in life with your full potential again. It is therefore used when you feel that your circumstances have become too restrictive.
